VR Design & Safety Ltd offer a full temporary works scaffolding design service with the aim of delivering a high-quality scaffold designs to meet the demands of BS EN 12811-1, TG20:13) and EN1991-1-4:2005. All designs are compliant with BS 5975:2008+A1:2011Code of Practice for Temporary Works.

Design Staff,
VR Access Solutions have in house engineers qualified from HNC Civil and Structural to Chartered Engineer status. We offer both scaffold design service, third party checking services and full structural services.
All drawings produced are checked by our chartered engineer before issue to the customer.

Scaffold Design
Scaffold design is at the core of our business and our scaffold design drawings and calculation works are founded on many years of experience. We couple this with the use of the latest CAD, 2D and 3D frame analysis and wind loading analysis software complying with the latest codes to produce accurate and detailed design drawings and calculations for scaffolding.
We produce scaffold design drawings in full colour or black and white, in sizes ranging from A4 to A0. The drawings can be plotted in house or sent electronically in secure pdf format.
The designs can also be customised to show customers own branding and details.With many years of industry experience between our engineers, we provide design work for the following industry sectors: -

Design Checking
VR Access Solutions can also offer design check service for drawings and calculations produced by other designers to meet the requirements of a Category 1 (CAT I), Category 2 (CAT II) or Category 3 (CAT III) design check. These are frequently required as part of a Network Rail design.

We hold all the required insurances, namely: -

Coverage
We provide a World-Wide service for drawings, calculations and off-site advice. We also offer a UK wide site survey service.

VR Design and Safety also offer full Health and Safety Consultant Services for the UK scaffolding industry. These services include:-

Scaffold Inspection Services
Weekly, monthly or one off Statutory scaffold inspection services. Design sign off for scaffolds erected to a specific design drawing.

Annual Retained Health and Safety Service
Tailored retained contracts to suit individual businesses that require support throughout the year with health and safety.

One Off Health and Safety Service
Our specialist consultants can assistance for one off projects and complex operations.

SSIPs Application Services
Full applications or Assistance with applications for varying SSIP's certification (CHAS, SMAS etc.)

Health and Safety Policy and Safety Management System
Health and Safety Policies and systems that are written to be specific to your company.

Scaffold Anchor and General-Purpose Pull Testing
Preliminary and proof testing for all types of anchors used for tying of scaffolds. Our fully qualified engineers carry out both tensile and shear testing and include an optional tagging service. Tests include full written reports with optional photographic evidence portfolios.

Safety Eye Bolt Testing
Our fully qualified engineers provide annual testing and re-certification of safety eye bolts used for personal fall arrest system. This service includes removal of failed eye bolts and re-installation of replacements where required.
